A HISTORIC National Trust site is set to open its festive Reindeer Trail this weekend.

From Saturday, December 16, Tyntesfield visitors will be encouraged to embark on a mission to find nine missing reindeers across the site, who Father Christmas needs to help him deliver presents to children across the world.

The National Trust website reads: "The reindeer have escaped from Tyntesfield stables and are running riot across the estate! Father Christmas needs your help to track them down so he can round them up to pull his sleigh."

You and your little ones can find the reindeer, which have been made by the Somerset Bodgers, using a map of the locations where they were last seen.

The trail at the Wraxall site opens at 10.30 and finishes at 4pm. It will remain open until New Year's Day.

Price of entry per child will be a donation to the charity.
