NAILSEA Town Council is seeking nominations for people who have gone above and beyond for the Community Awards.

The winner of the award, who will be been chosen for their exceptional service to the community, will be announced at the Annual Town Meeting on May 29, 2024, at the Tithe Barn.

To nominate a local community hero, you can complete a nomination form online. Alternatively, you can download a word document version and return it by email, post or in person to Nailsea Town Council, Tithe Barn Church Lane, Bristol BS48 4NG, email enquiries@nailseatowncouncil.gov.uk.

You can also collect a paper nomination form from the council.

All nominations must be received by January 17, 2024. Please note that previous winners cannot be nominated again.

Last year, the winners included Richard Simmons, former chair of 2nd Nailsea Scouts and Wendy Mobbs, of Nailsea in Bloom.

Jo Duffy, town clerk, said: "The Nailsea Town Council Community Award is a fantastic way for Nailsea Town Council to say thank you to those who work so hard in the community for the benefit of others and it would be wonderful; if all the unsung heroes can be nominated by you, the public for their dedication and hard work."
