A total of 21 members of staff from Alliance Homes, based in Martingale Way, cycled a staggering 100 miles, taking in the sights of Clevedon, Bath and Thornbury, raising £3,000.

Organiser Steve Zebedee said: “Everyone who took part is so pleased to have raised so much money for the Alliance Homes’ Charitable Fund, and it is something we will definitely do again.

“All the money raised will go into the fund, which will help people like Charles, who was homeless when he first came to us.

“As well as finding him somewhere to live, we were able to furnish his new home with things like blankets, bedding, cutlery and plates.

“Often a small gesture can make a huge difference and this money means that we can help many more individuals in need.”
