Delicious local ales and ciders were enjoyed by thousands of people in the sunshine at the Nailsea and Backwell Beer and Cider Festival from Friday to Sunday.

There were dozens of drinks to try with barrel after barrel lined up in the marquee.

They were all sponsored by businesses and individuals and it meant thousands of pounds were raised for the Bristol Children’s Hospital’s Grand Appeal.

The carnival atmosphere made the rugby club the place to be over the weekend.

For younger guests there were plenty of other activities to enjoy as well in the children’s village, including a coconut shy, tuck shop, tombola and a face-painting booth.

There was also stalls open and live music performances throughout the festival.
