Play areas refurbished
09 March 2010
TWO play areas in Nailsea are being given a facelift as part of a £1.5million scheme to transform parks across the district.
Work began on play areas in Pound Lane and Trendlewood Way at the weekend.
North Somerset Council will be refurbishing 22 play spaces across the district over a two-year period as part of a national initiative to provide quality, environmentally friendly play spaces for eight-13 year olds.
The council has been working with schools, youth clubs, parish and town councils to identify and design the new play areas.
Brookside in Pill, Merlin Park in Portishead and Wraxall play areas have already been transformed through the scheme.
