Community work rewarded

A LONG-TERM member of the League of Friends of Clevedon Hospital has been rewarded for his many years of community work.

George Littlejones was presented with a prestigious Diamond Award from Attend,

a UK organisation supporting volunteers in the health and social care sector.

During a ceremony at Clevedon's Cottage Hospital, Mr Littlejones was given the award by Attend's patron, Rosemary Mellor, who thanked him for his dedicated work with the friends group and congratulated him on the recognition.

The occasion was made even more special as the ceremony was held on the 95th birthday of Mr Littlejones, who had been nominated for the award by chairman of the League of Friends of Clevedon Hospital, Mary House.
